Nissan to introduce Infiniti G37 Coupe at the New York Auto Show

It is official: the well loved Infiniti G Coupe will be badder and faster than ever. Now, if you have noticed that the name has changed, then you will probably have realised that something has happened under the hood. The new G37, largely aesthetically inspired by the new G Sedan, now features a 3.7L V6. Essentially, the "old" 3.5L has been bored out by 4.6 mm in order to reach 3.7L in displacement. The result is an estimated 330 hp and 270 lb/ft of torque.

The new output out-passes the reigning leader: BMW's twin-turbocharged 300 hp 3.0L I6. The advantage to the BMW is that it weighs less than the new coupe and so should retain its crown. A test-drive will reveal all.
